To support our community and assist hard-working students to finance their higher education, MCCCU has available scholarships of $500 to be used to purchase books, pay for tuition, or cover other educational expenses.
Please read all instructions carefully before completing the application. All applications and supporting documents, including letters of recommendation and official transcripts (high school and above, for all applicants) must be mailed to:

Completed packages must be postmarked by May 2, 2012 to receive consideration.

TO BE ELIGIBLE for a Scholarship, the applicant must:
- Be eligible for and have established individual Membership with Media City Community CU. Member number must be the applicant’s own. Member number from relatives is not applicable.
- Submit a completed application.
- Submit two (2) letters of recommendation:
- One (1) letter must be from a teacher or administrator who is familiar with the applicant’s academic performance
- One (1) letter must be from a community member outside the school setting, who is familiar with the applicant’s participation in community activities, and who is not related to the applicant
- Submit official transcripts (high school & college, for all applicants). If you are a college freshman, we must receive your high school transcript & most current college transcripts.
- Meet the following criterion:
- A freshman or sophmore attending an accredited college
- A Grade Point Average (GPA) reflecting academic achievement of at least a 2.5 average
- Participant in community affairs and a responsible member of society, having characteristic traits such as reliability and integrity.
- Award recipients must:
- Register at an accredited institution of higher learning for the fall 2012 term
- Members of Media City Community CU’s "Official Family" (MCCCU staff, volunteers, and their immediate family members) are not eligible to participate in the Scholarship Award.
